Our People - Ag Crop Insurance

Established in 1997, Ag Crop Insurance, Inc., is a diversified insurance agency serving the needs of small town and rural customers in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
The three partners of Ag Crop are Erick Richards, Don Heller and Leigh Nauert. Each of them have backgrounds in production agriculture.

Don is a 1983 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Animal Science with a heavy emphasis in agriculture economics. He farmed until 1997 and still maintains an active interest in the agricultural community. He has worked as an independent crop insurance adjuster for USAG Insurance Services for several years. This experience has given him a very practical, hands-on understanding of crop insurance. Don has completed the AFIS, Farm and Ranch Insurance Specialist designation.

Leigh attended both Texas Tech and Abilene Christian University. She and her late husband, farmed cotton, wheat, and sesame and raised cattle in the Jones, Haskell and Stonewall county area. Her business and office experience combined with the practical knowledge of agriculture keeps the Stamford office organized and working smoothly and efficiently.

Klaire Moore is a 2020 graduate from Tarleton State University with a B.S. in Environmental Science and minor in Soil Science. Following graduation, Klaire moved with her husband to his hometown.

Sutton Page is a 1997 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Agriculture. Sutton and his family farm wheat and cotton outside of Stamford. He has been with the Ag Crop team since 2012. Sutton has served as the president of Rolling Plains Cotton Growers since 2020. He represents the Rolling Plains as a voting delegate for the National Cotton Council.
Sutton takes a strong interest in agriculture policy regarding all insured commodities. Due to the ever-changing political climate, Sutton and the Ag Crop team feel it is vitally important to stay knowledgeable and current on the Farm Bill and government programs.

Erick is a 1993 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Ag Systems Management, an area that includes agriculture engineering, ag business and business management. He currently farms cotton, wheat, sesame and stocker cattle on the Texas Rolling Plains. This active involvement in farming and ranching helps Ag Crop Insurance remember what is important to other farmers and ranchers. It also gives credibility to the advice he gives.

Cameron Copeland works remotely for Ag Crop from her home in Granbury. A 2012 graduate of TCU, Cameron grew up in Stamford where she pitched hay in the summers and even shredded cotton stalks on a Christmas day or two for the family farm. She began working at Ag Crop when she was in high school. Cameron is also a wedding photographer and portrait photographer.

Heston Heller is a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M with a B.S. in Agricultural Systems Management and a minor in Business. He worked as a crop adjuster with RCIS for seven years, giving him the tools to understand the industry and conversations surrounding it.
